AICIS+ 2025, to be hosted by Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia (UIII), is making waves with a bold agenda and a forward-looking approach. Under the theme “Mainstreaming Ecotheology and Technological Transformation: Multidisciplinary Innovations for an Equitable and Sustainable Future,” the conference will spotlight topics aligned with Indonesia’s national priorities, including eco-theology, energy and food security, technological innovation, and human resource development.
AICIS+ will integrate traditional religious studies with advances in the fields of technology, science, public health, and more. These will be elaborated with seven sub-themes: (1) Ecotheology and Environmental Sustainability: Discourses and Social Practices; (2) Current Issues in Science and Technological Transformations; (3) Islamic Law, Social Equality and Eco-Feminism; (4) Revitalizing Sustainable Economic and Equitable Social Welfare; (5) Decolonizing Islamic Studies: Perspectives, Theories and Methodologies in Islamic Law, Manuscript and Literature, Education and Philosophy; (6) Peacebuilding, Sustainable Reconciliation and Humanitarian Crises; (7) Investigating Public Health in Muslim Society: From Ethics to Innovations.
“AICIS+ will set the bar higher by creating spaces where scholars can directly engage with global challenges, making Islamic studies a driving force for national and international priorities,” said Prof. Amien Suyitno.
UIII, known for its strong focus on interdisciplinary collaboration, is proud to host this milestone event. According to University Secretary Dr. Chaider S. Bamualim, “AICIS+ is more than a conference. It is a call for scholars and practitioners across disciplines to unite for the common good, addressing the most urgent questions of our time.”
With preparations underway and global participation anticipated, AICIS+ 2025 promises to be an unmissable event for scholars, researchers, and thought leaders dedicated to shaping the future where Islam, science, and society intersect.
